Frequently asked questions

The answers below cover the main LuxMed flows. When something depends on the professional, clinic, or health operation, we explain the best path to resolve it.

How do I book an appointment?
Search by specialty, professional, or city, open the selected profile, and choose an available time. Review modality, address or telehealth, price, and patient details before confirming. If online payment is required, the appointment appears as confirmed after the payment is approved.
How do I track or change an appointment?
Sign in and open My appointments to see status, date, time, modality, payment, and telehealth link when available. If you need to reschedule or cancel and the action is not shown in the dashboard, contact support or the professional with the appointment date.
Do I need an account to use LuxMed?
You can browse help, search specialists, and view public pages without signing in. An account is required to confirm bookings, track appointments, payments, favorites, reviews, and data that must remain protected.
I forgot my password. What should I do?
On the login screen, choose password recovery and enter the email used on LuxMed. We will send a reset link when an account exists for that email. Check your spam folder too and request a new link if the previous one expires.
Why do I see a different dashboard than someone else?
LuxMed separates patient, professional, and admin access to protect data and show only the right tools. If you created the account with the wrong role or need to change access type, contact support using the account email.
How should I prepare for a telehealth appointment?
Join a few minutes early, use stable internet, choose a quiet and well-lit place, and test your camera and microphone. Keep documents, exams, medication list, symptoms, and questions ready. Clinical decisions and care instructions are defined by the healthcare professional.
What if the link, camera, or microphone does not work?
Refresh the page, allow camera and microphone in the browser, close other apps using audio or video, and try another updated browser. If it still fails, send support the appointment time, browser, device, and a screenshot of the error message.
Where do I find the telehealth link?
When the appointment has an online room, the link appears in the appointment details and may also be sent by email or by the professional. If the appointment is close and you cannot find the link, sign in and check My appointments before contacting support.
How do payments and refunds work?
Online payments are processed by secure payment providers. LuxMed does not store the full card number. Refunds depend on the professional, operation policy, and appointment status. Contact support with appointment, amount, and reason.
Where can I see receipts and payment confirmations?
Receipts are associated with the payment in your account when available. Sign in and open the payments area or the appointment details. If you need a specific copy, write to support with date, professional, and the email used for payment.
What are projects?
Projects are actions organized by clinics, teams, or partners, with limited spots and a focus on access. They may be free or offered at a social price. Each project shows modality, location, time, eligibility, and price before registration.
How should I prepare for a project?
Read the project details, confirm location or link, time, required documents, and instructions sent by the team. Arrive early for in-person care and keep your contact details updated to receive change notices.
Are projects always free?
No. Some projects are free, while others have a social price or online payment to confirm the spot. The amount and condition appear before confirmation. If in doubt, contact support before completing payment.
How are reviews published?
Reviews help other patients, but they are reviewed before appearing publicly. Share your experience respectfully and avoid sensitive data, documents, phone numbers, email addresses, or third-party clinical information.
Can professionals reply to reviews?
Professionals can track reviews in the dashboard and reply when the tool is available for the profile. Replies must also preserve confidentiality, avoid clinical details, and keep a professional tone.
How do I publish or update my professional profile?
Sign in as a professional and complete basic details, specialty, license, biography, address, services, prices, and verification documents when requested. A complete profile increases patient trust and reduces questions before booking.
How do I configure my schedule?
In the professional dashboard, configure care hours, modality, products, blocked dates, and availability. Review the schedule whenever location, vacation, appointment duration, or care policy changes to avoid conflicts with patients.
Where do I track my finance area?
The finance area shows payments, appointments, cycles, and upcoming payouts when the account is enabled. For discrepancies, send support the period, appointment or operation, expected amount, and a screenshot of the finance screen.
How do teams and clinics work in LuxMed?
Teams can organize professionals, operations, and administrative routines in one space. Invites, roles, and permissions help separate who provides care, who manages, and who monitors the operation.
Can I share documents with patients?
Use only proper platform areas for documents and sensitive communication. Avoid sending clinical data through personal channels when a protected alternative exists. The professional remains responsible for confidentiality, records, and clinical conduct.
How does LuxMed protect my data?
We use authentication, role-based access controls, specialized providers, and practices aligned with LGPD. Payment data is processed by a secure provider, and LuxMed does not sell personal data.
How do I request access, correction, or deletion of data?
Send a request through the contact channel with the account email and the right you want to exercise. We may ask for additional information to confirm identity and protect your data before fulfilling the request.
What is the best way to contact support?
Send an email with a clear subject, account email, patient or professional name, appointment date, operation involved, and screenshots when there is an error. More context usually helps us answer faster.
Does LuxMed handle emergencies?
No. The platform helps you find professionals and organize care, but it does not replace emergency care. For urgency, emergency, severe pain, shortness of breath, significant bleeding, or immediate risk, seek emergency services.
How do I report an error or instability?
Tell us what you tried to do, approximate time, browser, device, page URL, and screenshot. If the error involves payment or an upcoming appointment, highlight that in the subject for proper prioritization.

Still need help?

Write to contato@luxmed.com.br with your account email, the professional or operation name, and what happened. For telehealth issues, include browser, device, and a screenshot.

Important for urgent cases

LuxMed does not replace urgent or emergency care. For severe symptoms, immediate risk, or fast worsening, seek emergency care or call local emergency services, such as SAMU 192 in Brazil.
